Anything is possible. Carphone with exclusivity will charge prime rate while they can. I would too. Like MSRP. Early adopters will pay list pricing.

Like you indicate, once there is competition the price will drop. That is normal.

Yes... that's why I was very careful to say "before sales tax" so the comparison is clear, and I also specified I was comparing only on currency exchange rates, rather than the usual tradition of "delete $ symbol and insert � or € as appropriate" or any other variation on the magic pin and random number generator.

No mistake whatsoever. I compared SIM free retail list price (outright purchase) from the same reseller, as displayed on the website, for each of the competing phones. All will include VAT (sales tax). Like is compared with like.
