Subforum? Okay, this is fine. No more having to scan through the list of riveting topics like "RUMOR: BB10 Delta to be 3-sided slider..." to find the most important and popular thead on the whole forum.

And we have skin in the game, so we are literally invested. This is kind of the penthouse of the CrackBerry tower.

    Similar analys as Morgon.

BBRY options are currently trading at 90% volatility! That is beyond huge. This can easily be seen by the massive price swings this stock has been experiencing. Even with all of this volatility, the BBRY uptrend remains intact.

You folks should wander over to the Z10 site and replicate the graphs going forward . See this post: " BlackBerry Z10 stats from StatCounter " Shows Mobile OS penetration by country over any period you would like. Really interesting data. Too early to tell .

The closest I've seen in any article was a reference to Dell delisting. Surely, people aren't jumping to conclusions by the mere presence of these two words being in the same article. Then again, these are the days of the HTF...

BlackBerry was delayed from the nasdaq top 100 a while ago, considering the stock has been rising and there are 5mil share in circulation with an average trading volume between 50mil to 100mil per day there is no reason to delist it. It's good for the market how it is.

Heck more shares of blackberry trade daily than apple

I realize that not much happened this past Friday but I thought I would provide a chart anyway:

I support BBRY and I buy shares !-rim-feb-17-2013-chart.jpg

We have a very interesting chart pattern coming up and it will resolve on Tuesday. We have all of last weeks downtrend line pushing the stock price down, we also have the 50-dma as solid support followed by our own rising uptrend line nearby. Which way do you think it will resolve? Wouldn't this be a great time to hear from the company regarding sales of Z10 or a partnership? Yeah, plenty of people should be surprised by tomorrows trade based on this chart.

My take, it seems a bit crazy to crush the channel here at the $ 14.00/shr level knowing we have a ton of information coming within the next 6 weeks. Further, it seems like we could test the 50-dma t $ 13.87/shr tomorrow morning and rally from there, but what kind of rally can we expect ...., we are only looking at going to $ 14.30/shr for a major breakout of last weeks damage. So what to look at next, of course it has to be the trend changer, the 5-dma. It sits at $ 14.83/shr over the weekend but is dropping at a rate of $ 1.50/shr / 5 = $ .30/shr/day as of the opening tomorrow, and so it will start the day off at $ 14.53/shr assuming we open unchanged. It moves quickly though, as tomorrows trading price affects the 5-dma itself. So when it wants to breakout, it will be higher, something like $ 14.70 when we get to a breakout there. And so you have this range, from $ 13.87/shr to $ 14.70/shr where the stock can be lost and boring, and still be bullish. If the stock remains inside the channel tomorrow, I'll publish a new chart pattern that has been developing for a couple of weeks now, and tell you what it means. So far, you have to be long the stock as the RSI is going to come in at 44 tomorrow and that's a comfortable place to be for another rally. Good luck!

I'm gonna hope for a cold open, but a rush to a above $15 to close the day to setup a double key reversal.

Would be nice if the HFTs took the work away from the bulls in counteracting these bear raids.

Not sure it's that bad. It's not enthusiast, he missed a lot of things and obviously didn't give it a chance. But at the end, he pointed the #1 goal : fits former and current BB users.

galaxy S4 is likely to be revealed on mar. 14 in NYC.
    I hope it'd minimize impact on Z10 U.S. launch.

If the rumours are correct. It's a 5inch phone. Which kind of puts it at a whole different segment in the market and isn't really going to compete with the BB Z10 as much as if the screen size were smaller.

I am trying to decide what effect this will have on the launch of the Z10, I think it will appeal to a different user base due to the screen size. Those interested in the Z10 will on the whole not be interested in such a large Phablet type device. Just my opinion.

It will be interesting to see how much this sells in comparison to the S3; I wouldnt be surprised to see this canabalizing the sales number of their Note line of phones

yeah, the 5in form factor means a different market. I personally dislike the galaxy because it is a bit excessively large. Great screen and features, but you need big pockets to hold it. at almost 25% smaller, the Z10 carries a sleeker look

I think it may not have much to do with user base when a few other brands get launched this summer. It comes down to a media campaign and what that does to the general perception of Blackberry in general. There will be Samsung launching their new flagship phone "Galaxy 4" along with some things from Nokia. Media is almost everything today so Blackberry has to be loud and clear whaile this is happening.

the new Z10 has a very professional look, and i think the hardware built into it is amazing. By acting like a premium brand, blackberry can step away from the mass confusion of phones that all run a nearly identical android OS, in a way that previously gave apple the dominant market share

Hy DragonFlyer, and Welcome to the forums !
I'm not a specialist, but Android and other platforms are subjects to attacks; this one is more "hardware" related.
I jump on this comment (because it's the last one of this kind, nothing personal DragonFlyer) just to try to re-target the thread; please guys, don't make it become the "news and rumors for investors"; it'll be redundant with all the general sections of the CB forum and will make it very uncomfortable to read (because these topics will generate a lot of Q/R and probably flame wars if they target other platforms).

I understand these can enlighten stock movements, but we have to keep it a a general level (in this case "security") if it's not directly related to the stock, IMHO.
    Thanks
