With all the fans in the "I Support..." thread mis/quoting Buffett and revering the "Warren Buffett of Canada", it's good to find a staunch fan willing to admit this. =]



I don't think it's a great stock any way you look at it. Even if Blackberry's turnaround is completely successful, investing in a stock that you know will move in a wavy price pattern for a year or two is a high opportunity cost. Timing is everything in the stock market and now is not the right time to invest in Blackberry.

I agree, BBRY should be on your watch list because of the "could be" potential. But ultimately the long term investors are going to want results. Last week was a good "show", but ultimately it didn't change the facts. And next quarter maybe very different if they don't come up with more assets to sell, more tax write-offs, or yet again a different way of counting devices.

Now after the Passport, Classic and BES12 launch later in the year, maybe that changes things. I'd much rather buy a little late at $20 as it's on it's way up, than buy a $9 end up losing two to four dollars a share.
