I was showing a client a place and looked at my phone to see a big drop. No big deal, but I missed a huge buying opportunity at $16.17??? How long did that number last? On top of all that the volume should have been bigger on that kind of move. I wonder if it has anything to do with a report suggesting that someone dumped $350Million worth of Apple shares at the close of Friday on purpose so it could drop the stock, which it did, on purpose. Maybe it was a bit of payback???

In fairness, the time to buy is generally not right after a stock has tripled in value in a mere 6 months. One might assume that much of the good news and hype is priced into the stock. With that said, explain to me why an institutional investor would want to speculate immediately ahead of the Jan 30th announcement. Seems like a way for a portfolio manager to lose his job if he were to guess wrong. The smart money is only speculating while there is a discount to the breakup value. Sure, if something actionable about BB10s crystalizes, things will change. Feel free to speculate, but you don't know more than the professionals.
