Can't Change wallpaper on 9930
So, I am guessing Verizon has there theme locked down so I can't change the wallpaper? Never a problem on other Blackberry's that I owned. Unless I'm missing something.

theme isnt locked, change the wall same way you change them on BB's in the past. go to pic, bb button, set as wallpaper

Same here some wallpapers reset back to the default one, and some will work. I don't notice what pattern this follows and why this is happening at all.
RIM has to be one of the worst companies on eaerth to have such little influence on OS when they leave their phone for companies to pick and chose when and what to update. No changelogs or anything. Disgusting.

I am on Sprint I have changed my wallpaper 3 times and it doesn't revert on a battery pull.
Still with SPRINT after all these years

I am on Verizon and I had no problems changing my wallpaper. One of the first things that I did when I got the phone!

I can change my wallpaper, BUT,the top of the screen where the time is does not change. It wont allow me to change the entire screen to a solid color. I can get the bottom solid, but not the top. Any suggestions?

I noticed that pics downloaded from Facebook couldn't be set as Wallpapers.

mine has been working fine. the only time i wasnt able to change wallpaper was when one of my app was controlling my wallpaper.
i think it was "berry-weather" or "deToday" app.
are you sure none of your apps is controlling your wallpapers.CrackBerry Saviour (1,000,000 posts)

Just upgraded my 9780 from 6.0.0.448 to 6.0.0.706 in hopes of curing a stuttering keyboard.. (initial testing indicates success - yay!).. anyways, one of the first things I tried to do was change the wallpaper to a .jpg pic. I'll add that the theme is set to a 3rd party app theme (Red_Organizer...) - did not try to revert to the native/default theme.. When I navigated to Options >> Display, it would not let me click on Home Screen Preferences - screen just blinked and kicked back to the 'Display' screen.. Not sure of the cause/cure, but found a workaround by navigating to the picture files, selecting/opening the picture I wanted to set as my wallpaper, then click the 'menu' button and select 'set as wallpaper' - WORKED!! Rah!!
