So when sitting in the charging cradle for the new 9650, it will be charging and also synced with your computer??

I have a 8330 and the charging cradle only charges I still have to connect USB to sync.

    Oh that's cool.
So you can use it to sync wirelessly with Outlook?
    Do they sell it everywhere?
By any chance do you know the price range?

Wirelessly?? Sorta you will no longer have to plug your device in but set it in the cradle. True wireless sync would be OTA. I do not know where they sell them Try the crackberry store) and not sure the cost on them yet.

RIM didn't release a sync pod for the Tour. Only a charging pod.

Yes, however there are some after market sync/charge pods that either have a usb side connector or use a separate usb cable for syncing.

OK, so there will NOT be a sync cradle for the new Bold 9650 - it will just be a charging cradle like the 8330 and the 9630 then...

As far as I know, only the Storm series had sync pods made officially by RIM. I don't remember seeing one for the 9700, but I didn't follow that phone too closely.

The original article was based on a typo. There is no drop in sync/charge pod made by rim for any phone except the Storms. Just after the 9700 launched, the description for the 9700 charging pod on the shopblackberry.com site had the wrong description. If you look it up now, it has the correct description that clearly states its a charge only accessory.

There is no new charging pod for the 9650. It uses the same one as the 9630. Charge only.

The storm syncs only because in its cradle it actually slides into the usb port.
