when i have my bb in holster and get a new email whenever i pull it out of my holster it automatically opens the email i just received. Is there a way to make it so it doesnt auto open? it does it with my regular mms/text messages too but i dont so much mind that. i just like to leave a lot of my emails alone until i get home and then have been skipping over one here and there because its already marked as open or read. Thanks.

Simple tip, don't remove it from the holster immediately. Wait at least 15 seconds after the message to come through before you unholster.

No problem. Its one of the quirks set up for the business quick-draw users.

I guess I didn't pay much attention lol. But I was thinking about it and I started putting the bb on vibrate a lot more often lately so I can't distinguish the differences. It just vibrates and I pull it out. Maybe I can just set the email to only one vibrate thanks again guys.

Since I started using berrybuzz, I have all of my emails set to do nothing other than the LED. If it's in my holster, which is not long or often, it does nothing. However, when out of my holster, the LED will flash the color of the email I'm getting.

I use to have the same problem too. I had to condition myself not to check my BB so quickly. But there was times I just thought I had to pull it out and check. And of course... "pop" goes the e-mail or text.

Is there a way to get it to not open other than just waiting?

Go to Messages>Options>General Options>Auto Open Newest Message After Removing Device From Holster (change from After Sound or Vibration to Never). Save your changes.

I do not see that flow on my 8350i (4.6.1.313). That may be for the OS5.

You are correct, that is an 5.0 OS feature and isn't in the 4.6 OS, along with the ability to set vibrate and tone together rather than one after the other (5.0 add).
