Question about Cases and Holster

This is actually a two part question.

1) Will a BB Bold 9000 with the Case-Mate Smart Skin still fit in the holster that came with the phone?

2) How the **** is the shipping on this case $50 to Canada? What makes it so expensive??

Somehow my wife is able to put her 9700 in a Seidio Innocase into the original BlackBerry holster, perhaps a thin case like that could, otherwise I think not.
!BANG! $50 shipping to Canada sounds totally nuts. I sure hope that is not true.
