how to change settings while phone is in holster

I just got a holster (belt clip) for the curve 8330, and when I take the phone out of the holster because of a message, it automatically opens the email, is there a way to change that setting?

This is a convenience feature. You can't change it. It's assumed that if you take the phone out of the holster immediately after getting the notification that you WANT to view the message.

To stop this from happening, you need to WAIT (15 - 20 seconds) after the notification before you remove the phone from the holster.

I don't know about you, but I personally like this feature of the holster, because I only put my curve in the holsyer when I'm busy, so I can only briefly look at my texts/email, and reply then put it back in the holster.
