Charging Pod Not Working
Just got the charging pod today from amazon,
Got it hooked up but when I set my bb in it it dosent charge "no charging indicator" really wierd anyone else having this problem ? its making contact to the charging pins behind the bb. am i missing something? - 05-15-2009, 06:24 PM #2
Some obvious questions:
I assume you're using the charger and not the usb cable. If you plug the charger into the phone, does it indicate it's charging?
If yes, when you plug the charger into the pod, it should indicate the same.
If not, check the pod's usb connection - are the 5 gold pin connectors okay?
If yes, then I'm stumped. Unless the pod is defective.
I've purchased several from Amazon and they all worked flawlessly.Last edited by shfjcs; 05-15-2009 at 06:26 PM.

When you plug the pod in does it illuminate? There should be a white light at the back of the pod and an illuminated Blackberry logo on the front.

That means that power is going to the pod.
If your brother's BB charges on the pod, your BB has defective charging contacts at the back of the phone.

Take a pencil eraser and gently rub the connectors to clean them for a few seconds.

It should be lit when connected to USB or wall charger. Even when no phone docked.
