I love the idea of keeping mine "naked."
I mean it looks better and feels better.
But reality dictates that safety must be first, therefore the need for protection.
So I wrap mine.
I use Otterbox Commuter and a screen protector.
Bottom line is I spent way too much money not to.
What I like about it is that it's not to bulky as compared to some others.

Otterbox Commuter with Seidio Active Spring Clip Holster
The Seidio Holster fits the OB Commuter like a glove and the big plus I have is that the OB Commuter is a hard case at the top so when pulling it out of the holster, it doesn't hang up like the Seidio Active Case would.

Bold 9900 Best Case Around?
I don't get all the people wanting the OEM and Otterbox Commuter cases.
OEM Hard Shell? Touch the rubber surrounding the bezel and it pulls away from the phone. It won't protect the top of your bezel either, its too short. The OEM hard shell is the same as the cheapo soft version with a plastic back. The button extensions on all the OEM cases SUCK.
The Commuter? Do a battery pull with a Commuter and get back to me. Its a functional case but Otterbox passed the buck onto the customer when they designed the case. The button extensions on the Otterbox Commuter SUCK.
You should not have to assemble your own case!!!! Unless you live in China.
Pay Attention - Any case that has A LARGE WINDOW FOR THE CAMERA PANEL SUCKS!
You will be taking pictures through finger prints. Get a case with two small ports for the camera and flash.
So what case:
Protects the screen and bezel properly without hindering access to the keypad?
Doesn't have the giant window for the camera panel?
Has a flexible core and hard outer shell like the Otterbox Commuter but is molded into one piece so it snaps on and off in a jiffy?
Has nice button extensions that are easy to use?
Looks Nice and not like some kids toy?
Will end your search for the/a proper case?
Case Mate "POP!"
Black, White, & Pink
Yeah I know, I know, I know
With all the big brands out there how the he11 did I get to the Case Mate POP!,,...???
Because I wasted my money on all the others, only to toss that garbage in the trash.
Beware people who like to parrot "Commuter" and "OEM" and "Seidio" for they know not what they are saying!
Good Luck on your hunt should you decide to ignore this long post inspired by a great product and IMO the Best 9900 Case money can buy at any price!

There's no one perfect case. It's all about tradeoffs and what you're looking for in a case. I have both the OEM hard shell and the Casemate Pop.
The hard shell is on my personal 9900 because I wanted something that looks good, and that didn't add much bulk. The expense would be maximum protection.
The Pop is on my work 9900 because I needed something that was a little tougher, but didn't have to be taken apart like the Commuter if I had to pull the phone out of it. I find that while the small camera cutout does prevent fingerprints, it does gather dust in it if you pocket it.Retired: 8703, 8130, 8330, 9630, 9800, 9900, PlayBook

The Commuter WAS awesome for the 9700 but they screwed up on the 9900. It does not come off easily.
At time the three finger method will not work and you have to pull the battery.
The OEM hard case is very good if not total protection.

This guy needs help!
Here is a video on the D30 material. Pretty Amazing stuff!
