So if you are in a group, can you share songs with everyone in that group without being a contact with each individual person?

No, it doesn't work like that, you have to add them to BBMusic.

Just to clarify, they don't have to be on your BBM list, you can add a contact to BBM Music only (so your BBM list won't get cluttered up).
None of my BBM friends has BBM Music, yet I have about 20 BBM Music contacts

If you joined the group please post a link in the group chat by going into bbm music and going to "invite contact" then choose "bbm group" and post it to the "post invites to share music here" chat, that way members of the group can just click the link to share with you. Thanks.
