So I live in waterloo and was at a get together and a buddy had BBM running on his S3. Looks the same, no channels, didn't see voice or video and I know a few options didn't work but sending pictures sure do. It was nice to see sorry I asked to take a pic but he wasn't feeling it lol

Cool. Too bad about no pic though. But I'm sure he has a NDA in place, so I don't blame him!

I believe you because I was in this boat three times before. First with the 9900 (Saw it at Wilfrid Laurier Univeristy before it was released - glowing trackpad in a dark pub was a huge giveaway), then with PlayBook OS 2.0 before it was out (with a running native BBM app) and then the z10 in uptown Waterloo.

No one wants to lose their jobs, and with BlackBerry's workforce "overhaul", I don't blame them.

Alex Kinsella in a recent post was said to be operating BBM on an S3 also. So I do not doubt it has been seen.

Most anything is going to be anecdotal at this point of the game. That's the nature of these things. Even if anyone shows it on a phone, the second or third poster will cry Photoshop!

The cineplex app is mainly a big movie theatre chain around Canada, I think almost all movie theatres in Waterloo are cineplex. While this doesn't prove anything, it makes it more likely that this image is real.

Does it seriously put an ongoing notification on your phone?

Can they not use a PUSH service like Samsung uses for its Apps (i.e. ChatOn) and services without doing that?

I found one that I thought was real at 1st. I downloaded it and it forced me to delete WhatsApp before installing the "BBM" app. Got the correct icon for BBM but it was a non working version of WhatsApp lol. How crazy is that?

In play store, bes client and other apps were submitted by Research in Motion.
Now company name changed to Blackberry ltd.
So probably bbm may be submitted by bbm inc as rumored
