Default 'Next Event' on the Lock Screen ?

    hello guys
The lock screen on my BB10 shows only ONE next event ! Even when i have multiple appointments and meetings ahead. Is this the way it is or there’s something I am missing here?

This puzzles me as well, i wonder if its deliberate or a glitch in the OS. I would certainly appreciate if all my day events could show up in the lockscreen

There is only one event showing, that part I agree but why do you say that "There can only be one next event".
I'm sure an improvement can be made to show all events of the day.

This has limited usefulness. If I have five meetings tomorrow I want to see them all, not just my first one.

On the topic of the lock screen, I think it has limited usefulness to begin with. It doesn't tell me anything other than message counts. I'm going to go peek at the message to see who, what before I know if it needs my attention. I try to swipe past the lock screen in one swipe every time.

I guess the whole agenda being visible just by accessing the lock screen is not good for privacy, none the less they might have included a feature to be able to either show more or not show at all (I mark them as private so as for details not to come up on my lock screen, as I would not like my clients to know where I am headed to next or who I am meeting in case they get a glimpse at my phone lock screen).
Common logic was introduced in order to balance the absurdity of common perception, then we invented marketing and messed it all up again.

I agree with your concern on security. There has to be an option to show or to hide appointments on lockscreen. And if to show, to show all for next day or one day event/ appointment /meeting.

Yeah but this would create an extra layer to go through. I would not really use it as it is the same as logging in and checking the calendar in a sense. It would feel like disrupting the "Flow" for me.

    Just my 2 cents.

Not really, what if you only want to see what's next.

Maybe an option to enter your code and then swipe up to enter the home screen or enter the code and hut enter to go to lockscreen?

I am not saying it is not a good idea, for sure it would find many ppl to be useful to!! All I was stating is my personal preference and personal use. but yeah, an unlock code to get to that first screen would have its advantages. As I said, I am a bit of a freak on privacy (mostly because I do not like to "share" my next appointment and plans accidentally with my clients). This is why I mark all events private. I get the time of the event and remember its specifics, unlock and go to the saved appointment to check details.

Basically it is the same as forwarding the unlock prompt before the calendar event notification in the home screen (not to show events before you unlock). This would work for many of us I think!

now we only have to *pray* for this option to materialize

I think the reason for the one next event is so someone eating their corn flakes is reminded of their breakfast meeting. Allows you to rush out the door with out unlocking the phone.

It's the same when Calendar is running in Active Frames. Just the one appointment shows and if there are no more for that say it says no upcoming appointments. I would like to see the next 5 or so with another being added as each one passes

I don't see any. I have one appointment for tomorrow, and its not showing. If I create one for today, it shows.

I am looking for the same answer. My 9800 let me see the next three events at least. And the next event may only start next week. The calendar will not show anything past tomorrow.

There should definitely be the option to control what is displayed on the lock screen. If BlackBerry is targeting iOS and Android users, they need this option. Privacy-minded users also need the option to turn off certain things from being displayed.

I guess it is meant as a feature of "what is up next in a glimpse" style. This is why it will only prompt with very close in the future placed events.
If you wnat to check the future appointments now is an unlock and then Calendar for me. I don't find it bad actually. What I like the least about it is the issue of privacy as I have comented in my previous posts.

I like the fact that I can view calendar by day in agenda, people or schedule mode. I find the "people" part quite useful in my organising my meetings at a glimpse. I believe the calendar app works just fine! (I would like to see the remember app a bit more interactive/versatile in the calendar app though and I would be very satisfied with what the phone offers in that area).

In the Torch this is a nice feature but in essence you read part of the description and then clicked to go back in the calendar and check. Anyone that has more than 3 items in the daily agenda (which i guess is the vast majority of us) would have to go into the calendar in order to have a clear view of the day's agenda ahead of him/her.

I think the Z10 does this better in that respect and has orchestrated information in one place from every social app, email, communication, contact etc. This is just invaluable in my organisation and execution of my daily schedule.

Default Next Event not Upcoming Event

hence the reason for the words 'Next Event' and not 'Upcoming Events'

Has anyone found a work around to remove all events from the lockscreen? Other than marking events as private?
