I don't think this has been mentioned but if you tap a word to correct and bring up the circle you can tap left or right side within the circle and the cursor will move a character respective to the direction tapped. I find this more useful than dragging the circle around. Sorry if this has been mentioned I just found out.

Also, you can tap the top of the circle to go up a line and tap the bottom in the circle go down a line

Thanks. I was having some problems with that circle. The tapping works better than dragging it for me.

Good tip I have been have a time with that circle. If you high lite the word and hit backspace does that delete the word? I don't know how I high lite the word but I've done it a few times. Great learning new systems.

Good tip. I just discovered something I didn't know about the circle. Sorry if this is obvious/stupid.
When you tap a word to edit, and the circle comes up, the problem I had with it was that when you put your finger on the circle to drag it left or right, you can't see the words very well. I didn't realize you can drag the circle ABOVE/BELOW the text and move it around the screen as you wish and the cursor will follow on that line even though the circle is way above or below it. Of course, if it's a multi-line text you're editing, that won't work as well, because the cursor WILL go to the line above or below it. But most of the time I"m editing a single word or brief sentence. You can (and should) do the same thing to the blue "teardrops" (handles) when you select a word. You can drag them down first, and then across, which makes it much easier because they get bigger and your finger is out of the way.

Also. Think of the circle as a joy stick. Tap up or down to go up or down a line as well.

Great tip, I've been trying to carefully nudge the circle around and found it very difficult to do and get the cursor properly positioned.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I had been trying to drag the circle around (a la iOS) and found it somewhat frustrating. Tapping works much better.

It is better. Only snag is that young can't tap the circle past a border. So if you are working on the first word of a paragraph, to get through the first couple letters you have to drag. Great tip just the same.
