The assistant in unbelievable, it understands everything I say, although Google bow beats it at times like in calculations or weather etc! But it's still amazing

I tried it in English and I am impressed. Don't know if it could compete against Siri or Cortana, but it is really good.
It's a pity that it has not as many features in other languages like German or Italian. But the most important things like appointments, calling, texting by voice Is working. Everything more (telling jokes, direct answers to questions, etc) is a nice to have but I don't need it.

Although i am unable to compare the new BB Assistant against it's rivals, I do agree that it's pretty impressive. Used it last evening on my 30 min commute home from work (expect this is only when i would use it). Sent multiple text messages easily by saying "send a text message to Jane's mobile saying how was work today? want to meet out for a beer later tonight?" and when i got a response all i said was "read me back my last text message" and the assistant read the message to me. Seems like BB's aim is functionality; which is perfect for BB-users.

I tried that and it only read me the first 2 sentences for the text, maybe I need a reboot.

Haha, It seems that the virtual assistant will expand common acronyms. Eg, WTF is not safe for work or if kids are in the room.

I love it too. Now they just gotta jack up the speed times 100 and it's ready for public release.

A little bit annoying: When I say "Read the last unread message" in german it tells me who wrotes me and when but I have to say "read" again to get the message read.

I think it takes around 10 seconds for wolfram to reply. This is really not optimized for a dual core.

Does anyone know why it might not be speaking to me unless I have headphones in. BTW, I do have one broken speaker on my Z30. Does it only use the top. Can someone check please?

Not too impressed, I cannot change notification profile. Am I saying it wrong?

There is an option in the settings to censor offensive words.

Light years ahead from what was available in 10.2.x. I like it.

It would be awesome to be able to activate it without touching any buttons... I think Google Now works this way by saying "Hey Google" but I'm not 100% sure. A "Yo BB" greeting would be pretty hilarious to activate BB Assistant.

And I never knew there were mathematical jokes. Its joke database pulls from Wolfram and a paper on mathematical folk humor.

I like that I can type actions /commands in a search. Neat for when you don't want to do it yourself by finding the app and can't speak it out in public or too much ambient noise to say it out loud.

Check the settings. There's a setting about using voice feedback.

Unfortunately the assistant can't start applications and has limited instant actions functions if you have imported your settings from an earlier os.

It even starts android apps installed via snap. I was truly impressed when I said "start Instagram" and boom. Opened instantly.

I really think it is a major improvement. I've got a real scratchy voice and not one other voice command (even siri) has ever worked for me. I've not quit using it since I loaded this leak the first day it came out. Can't wait to see what they add. And thanks for the video.
