Default Flash Pro CS6 to BB10

    Hey there,

I am developing a NAQT Quiz Bowl App for my local team. The problem is that I only know the basics of ActionScript, and the only IDE that I know how to use is Flash Pro CS6. Does anyone have any idea, how to begin porting an app over. I have looked on the BB Dev site, but at this point I am pretty confused, and I would really appreciate some help.

    Thanks,
    Technology-Buzz

How do you want to port your app over? are you still planning on using ActionScript or are you wanting to use something else (WebWorks or Cascades)?

I was hoping that you install the SDK to Flash Pro. I would like to use ActionScript. How hard is it to learn Cascades/WebWorks?

    Thanks,

I build a *lot* of my apps using Flash Builder.

It uses AS3 entirely. Good if you are comfortable with actionscript.

Webworks, if you know HTML - you'll be fine.

Like KermEd said you would be fine with WebWorks if you know HTML. Also with Cascades you can use javascript in the QML files, and only do the heavy lifting in C++

How hard would it be to move to Flash Builder from Flash Pro CS6? Do you have a guide which will help transition?

    Thanks,

Cant help with a guide. But, check out the blackberry developer support forums. One of them may be using Flash CS6.

It can be a rocky adjustment. Flash Builder does not have a visible stage system. So your stage and all elements need to be loaded and designed programatically. Images and assets need to be in a bubble, with the application and external resources are a bit tougher.

I have some samples up on my github if you need.
