I'm currently unable to access a computer and I really need to update my app. I tried using apk2bar but App World wouldn't accept the signature. The signing keys I use are on a computer that is lost forever. I still have the email that they were sent in. Is it possible to use somebody else's signing keys for my app or for someone else to use my keys?

No , when you try to re-register the signing keys you've got in the email, you'll receive an error.

I had the same issue. Just register a new app in the appworld, upload the updated version and when it's accepted, remove the old version

(You should use SCrid2000 s' backup program in the future)

If I do that will the current users be notified of the update? Or will they have to download the new app? Will the app id change?

Could you provide a link to the backup program?

Appworld team can change this stuff on the back end (zero it out) via support channels.

This is what I'm gonna try doing, suggested be Adam Stanley of BlackBerry. "Need to get new keys, use the same author info, manually modify BAR file package ID (set it to the old value)"
