would it be worth trying a BB on a GoPhone Plan?

I want a phone that can do text, email, mms, im, and calls. maybe light web browsing for emergencies. This would be used as a secondary/backup phone. Would it be worth trying to use a BB on a GoPhone Plan despite the limitations? I was either thinking of using a cheap BB world phone, Droid Pro, HTC Status, or some messaging phone with a candybar design keyboard. i would only get the 200 texts for $5 and 10mb data for $5, and minutes would be pay as you go (im and email shouldn't use much data...right?)

simple mobile looks cool, but i don't wanna pay that much on top of what i pay on my main phone. it doesn't look like they have a cheaper pay as you go model, so anyone know about the GoPhone Plans (AT&T)?

you can get an unlimited-everything gophone plan for $50/mo. no other gophone plan offers data, unless you have a smartphone, and smartphones require an extra data-plan.

there is no BIS plan for gophone. with some service book tweaking (or if it had service books to begin with) you can get the browser to work, but you wont have BIS.

'Deezy...any smartphone, gophone or otherwise, requires one of the new data plans on top of whatever other services. isn't any bb on a data plan going to be accessing through BIS? i thought that was how it worked with BB ownership, but i'm still new to the experience and am maybe misunderstanding.
