Default Too Many Warranty Replacements

I'm on my 4th torch warranty replacement, and this one is having a problem with keys not working. I know after 3 returns I can ask for a new device. Can that new device be an iphone 4? Or is that the only one they won't offer?

They will provide a NEW BlackBerry. No reason for em to provide an iPhone as that was not the device purchased originally.

Demand a different phone. The Torch is junk.

I went thru this with T-Mobile last month after having had three Pearl 8120s in the last 2 years, even after purchasing the HTC Touch Pro 2. After 4 hours on the phone, I demanded to be transferred to Retentions. I had a Bold 9780 in my possession on December 15, 2010.

You may be able to request a 9700 instead, stating that the Torch seems to be fraught with mechanical instability (slide mechanism and trackpad are often reported to be loose). Just above all, be polite, and don't snap at the warranty people. If you don't get what you want, try again with the next replacement, if it is defective.

I'd rather have a few defective keys, then lose the ability to make phone calls.
