random charges on prepaid plan

Hi,

I currently use 9700 under the $.10/minute plan, and I started to realize that sometimes I would get charged $.26 and $.93, respectively, even though I didn't use my phone at all. Can someone explain to me what this problem is?

Are you getting emails pushed to your phone? Maybe it's an app that automatically updates info (weather, blogs, feeds, etc.). Maybe app world is checking for app updates?

I only have Push, MDS Push, and WAP Push enabled because I heard that those must be checked in order to receive/send MMS. Would disabling WAP Push Applications work? And also, if there a way to disable App world from automatically checking for updates?
