Default "Premier"?

What exactly is a "Premier" customer and what criteria must be met to be a "Premier" customer. I am a premier customer and am somewhat put off that an issue I had today could not be resolved due to the M-F premier customer support hours. To be more specefic, I ordered a BB 9860 today that was advertised for $99 with new 2 year contract. I paid $199 and could not find how to get the $100 discount applied. Called 611 and was referred to Premier customer support, who was not at work today. I'm sure this will eventually get worked out, but it would have been real nice to get some help up-front or maybe just be informed that I will be receiving a $100 gift card, or some information, any information would have been much appreciated. AT&T did not make me feel very "Premier" today.

You probably have a business discount or some other affiliation.

I cannot say why, but if you want better service, enter your phone number as 123 456 7899 or something similar. I have to do that, unless I want to hold for twenty minutes while I'm waiting to see if the joker on the other end takes a remedial reading course at the local adult literacy center.

I made some progress today. The folks at business care agreed that my purchase price for the 9860 should have been $99 and not $199, and my $18 activation fee will be removed once I activate my new phone (fedex delivers tomorrow). So far so good, but I was not able to convience them to credit my 'next day shipping' charge of $14.95. Their site clearly shows 'waived activation' and 'free overnight shipping. Two out of three aint bad - I might call again tomorrow to retry to receive a credit for shipping charge.
