Default Forced number change?

My wife's number is a NJ 732 area code number.. and mine is a 609... if I were to go onto her plan (some family plan or whatever), would I have to change my number, or would we both be able to leave them "as is" ?

All you need to do is process a "Transfer of service."

The head of the account you are going to calls 611 and gives permission for you to join the plan.

The head of the account you are leaving calls 611 and moves to the other plan with the other user.

You "Should" be able to keep your number.

you will always be able to keep your number. transfer of billing responsibility will not prompt a number change.

But family plans need to be in the same market, so if the numbers are from different markets then a number change will be required.

Relocation has to be done by AT&T prior to the transfer of service. The latter can be done on the AT&T website, no need to call for that.

your right. but for this particular circumstance there shouldn't be a required number change since it will be in the same market though. your right though.

So we're in the same market, even though it's two very different parts of NJ? Is NJ itself the market?

Just trying to be clear.

Thanks.
