I have a FAN for best buy, its 21% off voice and data (over 2 gigs) and it said I get 50% off new hardware.

They said, that applies to all new phones except the iphone 4. Now, will I be able to get 50% off the new blackberries that come out?

And what if I get a Playbook or an ipad or something down the line?

You have to order it though the premier site or go to a COR location. Yes, nothing should be excluded except the iphone and tablets.

So to recap. No discount on ANYTHING apple and tablets generally.

And if you did get a discount, it would probably be "shrewdly" negotiated to be taken off of the manufacturing costs, so you might save a whole $3 with a 21% discount.

The 50% discount applies on 2yr contract only.. And its off retail price on the phone. Its just not 50% off for a purchase.

So say I go to the store to buy a phone new. a Bold 9900 out of contract, I will only pay 300 instead of 600 right?

But if my contract is up and I want to renew, instead of paying 200, my501% discount off new hardware would apply here, but they will say only manufacturer's discount applies, so instead of getting 100 off, I would get like 30 off?

To bring it down to a total of, no where near 100?

This is how it goes:
For example the MSRP on Torch is $549.99; there are only two options (both requires 2yr/24month contract)

1)take 50% off from retail price of $549.99 = which comes out to $274.99
2)pay the listed price in the store or online & I believe torch is $49.99

It's not 50% off the store listed price
