Default Discontinue data

I got my daughter a BB and her data use is off the hook.
If I discontinue her data, will her berry still have mms, sms, etc.....?
I'd still want her to be able to able to use wifi, just not 3G data.

When was the device activated on the account? If it was after Sept 2009, then a data plan is required.

In any case, MMS requires a data plan on BlackBerry. SMS does not. Other BlackBerry Data features (BBM, email push, BlackBerry Browser, Google apps, Twitter, Facebook, BBMaps) will not work without an active data plan.
