Default Broken Phone (?) replacement

Hello all!

I have been using the BB Torch 9800 for 7 months now, also updated to the .600 OS. I have no idea why but the touch on the screen is acting up. It does not work...sometimes it works and sometimes it just freezes i have to use the trackpad. It is quite irritating. I wanted to know, if ATT allows us to change phones, if yes do they charge anything?. Its still in warranty and will they replace the phone by any chance?
and if any one has an idea on what has happened to the phone please do help me.

It seems to be an hardware issue, contact ATT they should either fix it or replace the device for you.

If it's less than a year old, and has no physical or liquid damage indications, it's covered by the warranty; but if you have plenty of warranty time left, see about reloading the software, and start with the previous OS version. Don't upgrade the OS until people stop complaining about the latest release.

A warranty replacement phone is always refurbished, and may not be in as good of condition as the phone you're sending back. Not to say that it would be defective; but manufacturer recertification is done by people. And you know people.

I would call the 9000 a useless ball of defects, but trackball issues typically come from people pressing the ball WAY too hard, or never washing their hands.
