Default Blackberry Bridge

I have been an AT&T customer since cell phones were the size of a briefcase and mounted in the trunk. My wife and I have 3 lines with AT&T currently and my company uses AT&T exclusively. That may change tomorrow.

I've been waiting since September for the release of the Playbook. I pre-ordered one and it is do to ship tomorrow. Now, on RIM's App World, the Playbook to BB Phone Bridge app says it works for all carriers EXCEPT AT&T.

Is this true?

its true but you can sideload the cod files for now. I would hope the bridge become available for ATT later today though or atleast an explanation from RIM/ATT about it

I am concerned about this as well.

It would have been convenient to know sometime during the 3 weeks preoder process.

I wouldnt expect much of a response from att reps over this huge embarassment, take howarmat's advice and download the free ota bridge and flip the middle finger to the only network in the world doing this.

Do yourself a better favor and leave those bloodsuckers.

The worse thing about leaving when you are a long time ATT customer is the loss of your unlimited data that has been grandfathered in. That can be a huge kick in the wallet.

I have been using the OTA Bridge and it works great!

AT&T reps aren't told ANYTHING about the Playbook. If it doesn't work the way you expect, oh well. It's not like Verizon and Sprint don't offer RIM phones to pair it with.

Stupid me, doing the research before I bought my phone, my cars, my laptops, my tools, my appliances... All that time wasted looking up data sheets and reviews, when I could have just jumped in to the early adopter line of disappointment from day one.
