BB Bold 9700 w/ Data and Text Only

I was looking into getting a Bold 9700 with AT&T and I was wondering if it is possible to have a blackberry without any minutes and just with data and unlimited text? I asked an online rep in the chat session and she gave me a link to the data plan page and I was able to set it up like this. Then the other day I went into an AT&T store and asked if it was possible and the lady who I talked to said it wasn't possible.

Now I would think typically they wouldn't push this type of plan because they want you to buy the 3G cards. What I was thinking of doing is printing the page and taking it in with me to show them. (I'm gonna go to Best Buy since they have. Blackberries on sale).

(I'm an AT&T Customer Service Rep) This Is possible, not through Best Buy, your looking at 70.00 a month with no tethering though, I would suggest, getting a voice plan though, because your looking at $89.99 and that Gives you 450 Minutes with Rollover, Unlimited Mobile to Mobile 5,000 Nights and Weekends, Unlimited Data and Text, If you go to best buy, thats what they are going to give you

I am thinking of doing the data only option and my price is $31.60/mo. for the plan called "Blackberry personal bundle" with 200 txt/mms messages. I notice you state $70 minimum for data only. So is the price I am seeing on the Premier site incorrect or is my price quote different because of my employer discount? Just checking before I go any further.

Don't ever go to a store to ask what you can and cannot do.

Call 611 / 1-800-331-0500 and ask what the monthly charges would be for a BlackBerry with DATA ONLY, STANDALONE, and (200, 1500, unlimited) messaging.
