Only was people can hear me on calls is it I take the phone out of its case. Using a SOJITEK soft case and all mic's appear to be very uncovered.. Anyone else having difficulty with being heard on calls?

I haven't had the issue myself on my phone, have you checked and made sure nothing is gumming up the mic's? they are pretty small so easy to get dirt em them (just dont poke them with anything sharp and puncture htem)

Z30 has inherent mic problem. I had to replace one handset last year because of mic issue. Also, you need to be slightly careful the way you hold the phone on call. If you keep mic just close to mouth, it would be better. I am now extra careful in holding phone while on call and this makes much better audible to caller.

You could download the BlackBerry Virtual Assistant (BBVE) from BlackBerry World and run the audio tests before you spend money you don't want too.

Same here after updating to 2226 looks like the proximity sensor always disabling the mic everytime I talk to the set. Speakerphone and the headset works fine. BBVE passed the test too.

Do you have 10.3.2 and problem persist?

Try to reload the Os without the Sim and memory card. Backup>wipe>reload. If it still acting up email BlackBerry tech service.

I have a friend who still has the issue with the latest 10.3.2.2474 , software 10.3.2.2639.

Even after wiping the BBVE shows success but no microphone while calling, how are you guys doing with this?

Did he try to wipe/reload it without the SIM and memory card? Mine works after reloading the OS.

It's a common problem with Z30. Had the same problem on my Z30 last year.. sold it.. and now I'm using the passport. Problem solved!

I tried wipping with SIM and without SIM.
I disassembled the phone to see the internal components, all connections seem to be right, disconnected and connected everything just in case.

Everything is the same, I guess I will have to try to replace the mic, which it seems to have no sense because calls with BBM and Whatsapp are working flawlessly.

@ayudablackberry just says the the OS 10.3.2.2474 is not supported by the carrier and that is the problem. .....

It is not a matter of power of acquisition, I bought the Passport for $770 and the silver edition in $680.

I just want this z30 to be fixed, thanks for the helpful replies, and I don't care about the trolling ones.
