Sometimes the BB10 devices will encounter an error or glitch in the system caches, which has a side effect of making the SD card seemingly disappear.
On a Z30, you can reset the system caches via a Soft Reset:
    1. Press and Hold both the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons at the same time. You will know if you pressed then at the same time when you see a Screen Shot Saved notice on the screen.
    2. Continue to hold the buttons down.
    3. The device will show a screen shot notice, then shortly turn off the screen, then show BlackBerry on the screen, and then show the device booting animation.
    4. Once you see the device loading animation, release the buttons.
    5. The device will boot up.
What this does is deletes all caches, clears running memory, shuts down running apps and services, and powers off and back on the device. It is the same as a Battery Pull on a removable battery type BlackBerry. It does not delete any files, apps, contacts, or settings. It generally clears up any bugged apps and/or caches.
NOTE: It is normal for the device to be sluggish and glitchy for up to five minutes after a Soft Reset, due to it working hard rebuilding the caches and restarting background apps and services, so it is best to just let it sit for five minutes after a Soft Reset before continuing trouble shooting.

See if the SD card is working again and let us know the results.
If it is still acting up after the Soft Reset, let us know so we can continue to help trouble shoot.

You can remove the SD card, reboot and reinsert - sometimes that will sort out the issue by re-indexing your card. If that fails, and if you have access to a PC then pull the SD card from your device and determine if it recognizes the card. If so then copy your card contents to a folder on the pc. After backing up the card return it to the Z30 and reformat it. It will erase all content on the card but you have the backup on the PC. Once reformatted then you can copy your files back onto the SD card.
