    my wifi still works perfectly.

If the phone is totally bricked then shouldn't my wifi not work as well.

My wife bought me this phone at an auction and it worked perfectly for 2 years until all of a sudden it wouldn't recognize my provider.

    tks.

First try a hard reboot....hold power button down for 20-30 seconds until red LED flashes and BlackBerry boot logo reappears

If that fails then pull your Sim card out. Reboot device and reinsert sim.
If no response use BBVE to see if your Sim slot is functional.
If that checks out pull down for Settings.....select About....in Category select Network....press overflow in bottom right(3dots)....register BlackBerry and resync.

If that fails you may need to reload your OS.

? Maybe if you tell us what your definition of Bricked is. As it usually means the phone won't even boot other than an error page. But you say it has WiFi so it must boot up.

Have you done a Security Wipe, Factory Restore or somehow reloaded an official version of the OS?

    Thanks for the quick response.

As I stated it just stopped recognizing my provider (Bell in Canada).
I was getting all the OS upgrades perfectly for 2 years.
