Okay this issue arrived today in the morning,my battery was running alright with moderate usage. But since morning it is draining faster like 1% per 1 minute and it takes forever to charge. It will take around 20 minutes to charge 1%.The only way I can charge it faster is to to charge it when switched off,it does not charge at normal pace but faster than when turned on.
I have done security wipe and it does not seem to help, and my z10 is running on the lastest software. It is just a month old please somebody help me :'(

Check for apps that are running even if you don't use it coz it uses battery a lot.

Tap on the CPU tab for running apps, the battery tab only informs you what's having the most impact on your battery life. You also can install Taskmanager from BlackBerry World, it will show you only running Android apps. In some cases it will be necessary to see if anything is running that doesn't show in Device Manager. For example, I also had an issue with increased battery drain - turned out to be an Android service that would only show with Taskmanager.

Try turning the phone off. Then take out the battery. Leave it out for an hour. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Put the battery back in. Let it fully boot and then wait a few more minutes. Let me know if it's fixed.

Turn the phone off until it dims after "BlackBerry" shows up. Battery out for 15min at least. Put battery in, plug in charger. You see a LED signal. Turn on the phone after about 5 seconds. Recalibrates battery and resets hardware.

    BlackBerry*Q10, T-Mobile Germany - SQN100-3, Running OS 10.2.1.2941

I admit that I only had 1 or 2 issues with my Z10 battery and could never pinpoint the culprit. My PIM services sky rocketted to like 45% over a 6 hour period. Only lasted for 24 hours though. Mind you I was using a leak so I deffinitely could not complain to anyone. Other than these 2 issues I would have to say that I was totally pleased with the performance. Glad your drain appears to have resolved itself as well.

Back to square 1 I guess, sometimes it shows 6hours of battery remaining on 100% sometimes 14 hours and something 23hours.What am I supposed to do?
Am I doing something wrong?I charge my phone a lot because I am still scared,do I need to stop doing that?

Some will say their z10 has worked flawlessly for them, from what I've seen most z10 users are pretty accustomed to the fact that the z10 behaves very inconsistently and has a myriad of issues regarding heat, battery, etc...

Device monitor reflects simply how much something you're doing is impacting the battery at the time you open it, and the estimation is based on the same continued usage. So if you're really using it hard (high CPU/GPU usage such as games, browser, or just other apps with constant screen time) it will report a shorter time remaining. Opening up Device Monitor after its been idle for a while will show a much higher time to empty.

My z10 is again draining like mad, when it drains
fast it will last over an hour on 0% and when it does not drain fast it will turn off at 82-83%.
Is there any solution to this or should I wait for 10.3?

are you running the battery dead? I find that if the phone turns itself off because the battery died, I have issue with quick battery drain. Then, I must reset again. I think the phone starts to index everything again because the system will burn lots of battery.

Again, just try the instructions I gave above. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds before you put the battery back it.

Be very patient when you boot up. Let it sit about 5 minutes and index everything. Then try using again.

What phone model are you using? Stl-100-1. I assume based on the issues you are having. Also, do you have very poor reception? This will cause very quick battery drain.

I'm having the same issue. Phone heats up and battery life is poor. Have sorted it out with an update a while ago and was great for weeks. Gremlins are back with no talk of any update to cure the problem. Anyone know whether the phone is faulty or the battery at fault.

Done a fair bit of poking around this evening and when my Z10 was really warm to the touch and visibly losing battery power by the minute I checked the device monitor and found that BBM was the culprit running at 48% so I closed it down and unlinked it from my other apps ( I use whatsapp and viber) as I never use it anymore, it was ok when herself had a BlackBerry but when she jumped to a windows 8 phone BBM was made redundant.

I tried it last night, here is the result.
The rise after the drop in battery percentage is the time I plugged in the battery and since then I have not charged.I get this feeling that it will suddenly turn off anytime.
Attaching the picture for you to see.
