    This is normal during the setup period.

    Do a hard reset and give it a day. If it still has issues after that point. Try a security wipe and then reset it up. If after a day again, try reloading the OS...

    With battery try this..turn off Blend, Gps, lower the brightness all done in settings. Let the battery Drain to zero and plug with wall charger let it start charging and after 5 minutes remove the battery but leave z10 plugged into wall charger. Let it stay like this at least 5 and then insert battery and let phone fully charge. This should calibrate battery. Good luck.
