So I got my DTEK today, don't have any cell phone plan yet or SIM card, so I SKIP that part, then connect to my Wi-Fi with excellent signal strength. The next screen says Update Phone and that I need to download an update and restart, Size: 101.9MB. By continuing and receiving this software update, I agree to the Google Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. (opened these links but no check boxes or anything). Anyway, I click NEXT to the Downloading update... screen, but the phone keeps saying Couldn't download, even after re-trying several times.

Anyone have a solution for me?

Do this: Reload BlackBerry powered by Android smartphone - Canada

But before you do, what's your current OS version?

Settings > About phone > Build number

Is your wifi still active and connected? Should not disconnect but just check to be sure.
It is probably the August update.

Another way is trying to skip this update, fully configure the phone and try again via settings > update

Apparently, this is a common (?) problem with Android phones. Anyway, the first step in the list of suggestions listed below worked for me - forgetting the connection, re-booting, and then re-connecting. First phone for me and looking forward to hunting some Pokmon! haha
