    I just purchased a Z30 from someone and I love it. The phone was locked to Telus and I have to unlock it coz my carrier is Vid�otron. Videotron does not offer Z30 that means it won't release any os update for this device. So how am I supposed to get any official os updates? When I press "check for updates" on my phone, does it actually point to my carrier server to look for an updates?

    OS updates will appear through BlackBerry Link, even unlocked it's still recognized as a TELUS device. It's not factory unlocked, just carrier unlocked meaning its all still hard coded for TELUS as far as Link is concerned.
