    I can see how to transfer from my "old" BlackBerry to my DTEK50, but can't understand how I can keep it in synchro with my desktop - either via wi-fi or USB connection.

    No. There may be third party apps that will give you the feature, but the old BlackBerry sync was more of a crutch for POP email than anything else. Modern email protocols such as ActiveSync don't need any kind of offline sync since you get the same contacts, calendar entries, and mail no matter what device you're using.
