Will BlackBerry OS change to Android for existing phones .. since BlackBerry is launching an android device

There has been nothing official about BlackBerry releasing an Android device. There have been plenty of rumours, which have no concrete source. There have been a multitude of rumours about BlackBerry, from Samsung buying them to Android handsets, and all of them have come down to lazy journalism or attempts to manipulate the stock price.

In other words, don't believe it until you actually hear anything from BlackBerry.

Maybe the switch to Android for new devices.... maybe they don't.

Maybe they'll allow old devices to be upgraded.... maybe they don't.

It is all rumors and speculation, based on where BlackBerry is today in the market and the cutbacks they have made.

But BB10 devices where sold with locked boot roms, and many of their customers are going to want them to remain that way. So I would really doubt that they would release an patching tool or a upgrade OS that someone might use on a corporate device that the customer didn't want it used on.

But then if they unlock BB10.... why not the PlayBook?

This exactly, all devices that currently run BB10 will continue that way. With regards to Android being run on a BlackBerry device, this is all rumours. It may never happen.

Are you serious? Another post about this?! Are people really this.... ugh never mind. Just wow. (-__-) it's just a rumor! Unless BlackBerry themselves talked about it then don't believe till it comes straight from them.
