I was in a Sprint store over the weekend and asked about the Blackberry Passport. I was told the Passport is not currently offered in the CDMA version needed to use it on the Sprint network. Does RIM have any plans to offer a CDMA version useable on Sprint in the future?

I wouldn't count on it. If Verizon didn't get it, Sprint is even less likely to. But you never know. If it does well off contract/on AT&T, Sprint might be interested enough to ask for it.

BlackBerry has an exclusive arrangement with AT&T for the Passport in the US, and the Shop BlackBerry devices are all GSM so those of us on CDMA networks are out of luck for now.

I would think that somewhere in the bowels of the BlackBerry laboratories there's a CDMA radio stack ready for regulatory and carrier approval should the interest arrive. It may even stand that the antennae are already in the Passport and just need to be activated, much like the FM radio in the Q series and the Z30.

That's all speculation on my part, but it makes sense to me!
