    The up grade to BB Passport from IPhone sounds like a great promotion to put a BB device in the hands of iPhone devotees, but appears to apply only if buying outright an unlocked device, excluding the common Joe. Are you aware if the 150$ (200$) Trade up incentive will be carried over to contract renewals for those wanting to switch back to a BB from an iPhone.

    No. The phones you buy subsidized on contracts are transactions with the carrier, whereas this transaction of buying the Passport is with BlackBerry, and they only sell phones factory unlocked, unsubsidized.
