Trying to synch outlook calendar and contacts with my XP system. I have BB10. I get a C++ runtime error and it won't synch.

I'm using from Blackberry Link version 1.2.3.56

I have reloaded, removed and reinstalled 123_b055_multilanguage all to no avail.

Do I need an earlier version of Blackberry? if so, how do I find an earlier version? Will updating to Windows 7 help?

    thanks for any help.

That solution is quite complex and it's for a Z10. I have a Q5. Before I attempt the solution does anyone else have any ideas?

The connector mentioned in the solution seems to be unavailable.

I backed up ALL my data, all my photos and documents to my computer from my phone using Blackberry Link. I saved and then removed ALL my photos.

I said a prayer to the BB gods and did a Factory Reset. That took more than 1 hour. When it was finished, I turned the phone back on and reset ALL my settings, emails, downloaded my apps, requested new BBM contacts etc.

Then I went to Contacts/Calendar on BB Link and updated ONLY the contacts and configured it to 1 way from computer to phone. That worked.

Then I held my breath and configured the calendar for 1 way from computer to phone. That worked!

I haven't tried synching both calendar and contacts at the same time and likely won't... just in case.

What a HASSLE!! It's cost me 5 hours of my 'free' time to fix something that shouldn't have happened in the first place!
