I factory reset a blackberry 9930 and after powering back on I added my gmail account. It connected fine and sync'd calendar and contacts great. I can get new email notifications and everything fine. However it will not show me and email there were already in my gmail in box prior to connecting it to my blackberry. How do I get this thing to display existing read emails from my gmail?

Delete account and when you sign in...set advanced options to "Forever" on initial load.

I got a Z10 for Christmas and I'm trying to figure out the same thing. I get emails from Dec 18th and later but nothing earlier. Will deleting the account and readding it give me that forever option as well?

Yes, but remember to go to advanced and set it there

Thank you. That did work. Do you know if there is a way to make the default email view in hub to show inbox only instead of sent and received?

    In the hub go to:

3 dot menu > Email Accounts > the email account in question > Edit Account (at the bottom) > Scroll down until you see the Edit Folder Settings button and disable the sent mail folder.

Also, for future reference, if you want to change the time frame for how old you want to sync your mails, instead of deleting and adding the account again, you can change it right above the Edit Folder Options button.

Thank you. I found the sent message setting too. Hub settings > display and actions > turn show sent items off

I can't see that "Sync Timeframe" option that appears in your screenshot. Are you sure you're still talking about Z10? My OS is 10.2.1.3062.
