    I like good sound.
At home i use a set of Technics SB-10 flat diaphragm titanium honeycomb with strathearn modified leaf tweeters, Polk model 5's
a Sansui AUD-11 and modified hafler amplifiers, and digital input via PC from Dragonfly , Geek out, Cambridge. Headphones are
NAD Viso, AT H50x , B&W H7 (as well as speciaslised hi-res audio/media software such as JRiver ). I also own calibration microphones, audio analysis software and custom written impulse test software (modified chirp Z).

As far as i know only 2 phones support high quality software, M8 (196Ksps/24 bit) harmon kardon version, and i believe one other
was capable of 96/24. I have the ability to listen to upto 384Ksps / 32 bit, and have many 96/192 24bit albums , sorry no MP3 here.

be nice if Blackberry was one of the first to really push to 192/24
To those of us who really like our music - and not the flat dead iDevice or ADevice audio chipsets.....
My S3 is passed due and i really would like a better audio device, games for me are a near non event, social media a peripheral,
    email/web/music that's my useage.

Does anyone like good music or am i just whistling dixie.....
Favourite recordings, 1812 (Kunzel/Cincinatti symphony, on telarc) - have heard this using field guns and explosives - amazing recording
Hires versions of love over gold, making movies, Cosmo's factory , various classical cello and viola records, sheffields track and drum records some japanese imports of 12th century flute music etc etc.

Z30 is your best choice BB wise and of course get a good set of headphones, but it really does not compare to the HTC One M8, as you mentioned.

I actually find that the Z30's audio is better than the HTC One M8's. But both are excellent. If you want to try something a little bigger, the PlayBook has amazing speakers and is at low prices of under $100

Most phones do ok mp3, or even 16/44 or 16/48 throw 24/48 or 24/96 , 24/192 and don't mention DSD 2.5 or 5MHz and it gives up.
    I laso own a playbook 16 and 64, galaxy tab 2 10.1 ipad air 128gb PC 4.8GHz i7-2600K 50TB of HDD, 1TB SSD bluray burner 2x24" HD, etc etc

In my short time with the Z30 I found the audio to live up to the hype. Only complaint I would have is the sound vibrated the screen when you touched it.
