    These are the steps that I follow which you recommended:

    Open BlackBerry Link and connect your device via microUSB
    Select Settings (gear icon)
    Select Reload under Reload Device Software
    Follow the on-screen instructions to reload the software. When complete you can disconnect your device.

    I did the above and also the second set of steps that are harder to do. I seem to be getting the same result

    I have the 10.3.1.1779 software installed but it has compromised some of the applications i previously had on the device (BlackBerry Z10). I want to go back to the previous O/S (10.2) but it just is not working

    If your carrier has released 10.3.1 you can't go back to 10.2 using Link, you'll need an autoloader.
