    When I receive texts they go straight to my hub folder rather than my text folder and I receive no sound, LED, vibrate or other alert. I've checked my device settings (it's a Q5) and texts are set to generate an alert. My service provider thought it was a device issue and so sent me a new handset - the problem has persisted. It's a nuisance in that I keep having to manually check my hub folder every few minutes to see if I've gotten any text messages. Is this is software/system problem?

    Type this word - myver and press space to see your current OS. It will show similar to this - Z30STA100-2/10.3.0.1154

    On the reply screen, type this word 'myver' and press space bar to show your device and OS number.
    Likewise,
    Myver = Z30STA100-2/10.3.0.1154

    U need to press on the space bar after typing myver to show this --> Z30STA100-2/10.3.0.1154
    Try again until the shortcut shows the device and OS version.

    Go into Hub Settings, Hub Management, Text Messages select show in both (if you want in both)
    Why are my texts not showing up in my text folder and giving me an alert when they arrive?-img_20141002_073914.png

    Thanks Scotty - I'd already done that but it makes no difference, the texts will still only appear in the hub and still won't generate any alert of any kind.

    I'm guessing that something got corrupted during a restore? If they sent you a new device and you transfered everything over, that would be why the problem persisted. I've had this happen when restoring backups from older OS versions (such as a 10.2.1 backup restored on 10.3.0) after using an autoloader to upgrade. It stinks to lose everything, but you'll probably have to do clean install. If you wanna keep all of your contacts (because you can't backup just your contacts in Link) and you don't sync them to an online account, use a program called Contact X; it works pretty well.

    You can also export your messages to XML using SMS backup, so you don't lose them but they are clear of any settings/formatting.

    I agree that you should do a security wipe and try the SMS feature to see if the problem persists
