You are wiping your hone? It can take up to an hour. Leave it be or you will simply have to pick up where you left off before you pulled the battery. Which by the way is not such a good thing to so....
Connect it to a power source after putting your battery in its place and wait for it to wipe it completely, it can take uptill 3+ hours or so
