My new Dtek 50 suddenly won't charge properly. Instead of normal charging, the screen displays "disconnected" and "charging" repeatedly while also draining my battery. This never happened before, and I tested charging with every wall converter and cable available in my house. I can't seem to keep the phone charging and it's pissing me off how a new phone suddenly won't charge.

Sounds like the micro USB socket is loose/damaged. You might need to get it replaced or send it in for repair.

Try to jiggle the USB cable to see if you can get a stable connection; if you can by moving the cable, if you can that means the port is loose/damaged.

ZeroBarrier is totally right, but there's a faint chance it's a software issue: before returning it, try to wipe it and reinstall the OS.

Yes, try a different charger. I had the same thing happen my Priv.

Happened to me with the priv and it was the cable going bad. I was using a longer one I had cause the priv one was so short. No issues after new cable
