    Just got a z10 and it seems that bbm is only working when there is a Wi-Fi connection. Help please.

    You have to try another Mobile Net Operator. Sometimes, different careers doesn't support BIS, thats why BBM works only in Wi-Fi

    AFAIK , BBM only need regular data plan for BlackBerry OS 10. Previous models with OS 7.1 or before that would require BIS package.
    Perhaps you need to check mobile data connection is enabled.
