to answer this question we would need to know what phone? what OS? what apps? how do you typically use your phone? do you have wifi? strong signal? carrier signal good? indoors or out when it drains? BT on?

no one can answer this without some more info

I don't know about the OP but ever since I've updated to the latest OS I've been noticing a quicker battery drain.

Not unusual with a new OS install/ update. Give it a few days to index and settle.

Go into Device Monitor, look at the CPU and see what is taking up all your processing power.

Ensure that, Blue-tooth, NFC,Blend, and Carrier Data is off. (unless you need them)

Also, look at how many Apps are open. See if your E-mail if try to sync?

Battery life unfortunately is user dependent. I've updated my Leap to the latest OS and haven't noticed any drop is battery life.

Hopefully the above tips help in some way

Check your device usage and the individual app use. There are likely some apps which are system hogs. You may need to remove some of them if you don't use them frequently.

The Priv has been updated since release. You may want to consider doing so.
