I am attempting to install the 10.3.1 OS. My Q10 tells me I have to free up 957 MB of space to continue. My virtual expert tell me I have 2GB of storage available left. but it still won't continue. I then transferred 8 GB of files to my media card, but it doesn't show up as increasing my device memory. My device indicates I still have only 2 GB of memory. To Further confuse the issue, on my Blackberry Link, it shows that my device has 17 GB of device memory available. It also showed the following message " the sync was unsuccessful. Failed to commit changes to device. " Does anyone have any idea what I am doing wrong? Because of this issue and the duplication of entries when I sync, I am just about ready to switch to iPhone.

Tried that. Didn't do a thing Also, pulled the battery for a hard reset. Still the same. Thanks for trying though.

Failed to commit changes to the device means the files were transferred to the memory card but the files in the device storage couldn't be deleted for some reason. If you can move the data to memory card then you can move them manually without BlackBerry Link.

If you can confirm that all of your data are already in the memory card and are accessible, try to manually delete the lingering data in the device storage

Thanks for the reply. I think that deleting manually might be the only way so I'll give it a go. Not being technically inclined, I'm really pleased you took the time to try to solve it for me.
