Hi, I have downloaded OS 7.1.0.391 for my BB 9360 and I have installed it on my computer then I have deleted XML Vendor file at the bottom of that list and delete it but when I have connected my BB 9360 to my computer and opened BB desktop software no upgrade appeared to be installed in my BB 9360 so what can I Do ?

You can double check that software is for your device AND search for more vendor.xml files on your computer. There are cases on record where more than one file was preventing the update.

But mostly, make sure the software is for your device. Else no amount of fiddling with files will make it install.

Hello, as far as I remember the BlackBerry OS 7.1 was specifically designed for touch screen devices. So this will not work on a 9360 unfortunately.

    You need a 9900, 9930, 9000 or a 9720 to load the OS 7.1 if I remember correctly

If you do a "check for latest update" on your device and it says "this is the latest" then that's as far as your device goes.

    You are not remembering correctly.

9360 has full OS7.1 support. Bell went up as high as 7.1.0.1047, and O2 went up to 7.1.0.1098.

OP, since you're doing this, you might as well get something much newer than 319.

Unless of course, another carrier has released new software for that device. Then it's download, remove vendor.xml and update.

    But surely you knew that.
